Monday 25th May 2020
Sunrise 23rd May 2020 over Westlake. A view from my bedroom window.
Another week has flown by and i feel that i am still finding it hard to complete projects
but
as i write this i find that i have actuallyfinished some.
I have completed the secret test knit that i cant show you but i did knit it in this yarn
Patons Regal 4ply cotton - Marine.

This yarn was lovely to work with as it creates a lovely fabric.
I have mainly used Regal 4ply in crochet doilies and decorations and it washes and blocks beautifully. You will find the other colours i have in stock in my Etsy store.

Also completed a half of pair of Baby Socks by Kate Atherley on the Blue Patons Patonyle Merino 4ply.

3 Premmie Hats in my pattern were completed last night using Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmere Tonals in Blossom.

New Beginings:

So as the finished test knit has freed me from my knitting committments i have now cast on the
Love and Hearts Hat by Susan B Anderson
using my own hand dyed 8ply Yarn
(silly me forgot to take a photo of the yarn prior to caking. LOL) and Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmere Tonals in Blossom to be held double(i think?)
Needles are Addi Crassi Flexi 4.5mm

I have also commenced making a Premmie Octopus by Lilleliis.com. It is a free pattern.
The yarn i am using for this is Debbie Bliss Baby CashmerenTonals in Citris.
i am using a 3mm metal hook.

Baking:
Rod made his first loaf of bread under my guidance.
So i should say i showed Rod how to use the Thermomix to mix the bread and to knead it and prepare it for rising. Then i did the rest. Here is the bread
we used Lauke Grain Bread Mix.

Other baking included 2Sipknitncrochet afternoon tea of Chelsea Buns
They didnt last long.
Served with whipped cream and/or Butter

This is a The Australian Womens Weekly recipe from Cookin Class Cookbook 1980's?

Sewing:
well i have been mending and taking up hems.
What else is there to say about the boring stuff.
I am looking forward to getting my bag making happening again.
Hopefully this week as there are no doctor/ hospital appointments to get in the way of a good crafting week.

Listening, watching and reading:
(maybe a little too much as i stop and get distracted)
Audible book at the moment is "Ascendant. Book 1"by Craig Alanson
It's a book about court wizards and their protege. (A very brief description I know).

Prime: i am catching up on "Farscape"
i did start watching it when first released but as usual tv channels change the air time and it was on too late for a working 9 to 5 girl.

Youtube: new to me is Gay Glasspie : GGMadeIt and Teresa Downunder who is tempting me to quilt.

oh and the book i am currently reading is upstairs but its to do with Faeries and battles and goblins and thrones and war... Its by my bedside.

i better get back to doing THE Mending..well at least Rod's pj elastic!
